5 TIPS on becoming a Fit & Healthy Psychic!

Dumbbell in handAs a psychic, medium or healer you are in an industry that uses energy and uses your body as a vessel to source that energy, it’s imperative that you take care of yourself to become a healthy psychic!

I once had a teacher mention that mediums tend to live shorter lives because of the demand of energy on their physical body. I also read and article recently by Dr. Mark Hyman that indicated a deficiency in magnesium makes you twice a likely to die in comparison to its counterparts. This news is shocking and really struck a chord with me. I have always been very healthy and fitness has always been a priority for me, but I have also seen how this line of work can have an impact on my physical being.

Since the age of  sixteen I have been involved in the fitness industry and the routine of eating healthy and working out has become second nature to me. Although, my workouts have changed over the years, they have never gone away.

At one point in my career, I was a professional fitness model and had the opportunity to be in such magazines as Ironman, Pump, Muscle and Fitness and more! I want share my experience in an effort to help you become the most healthy psychic medium and healer you can be!

Here are 5 tips to help you become a healthy psychic!

  1. Get Moving!

You have to MOVE your body! If you see clients all day, you are sitting in a chair and remain stationary for far too long. Your body was not designed to be in a sedentary position for this long. So you have to move! Go for a walk between clients. Take a yoga class or join a gym. I know you might say that you don’t have the time, but you must make the time. Schedule it in the same as you would a client. This will help you keep your commitment to yourself and stay on track!

Exercise is proven to help you control your weight, increase your energy and stabilize your mood.

All of which are golden benefits for someone who works with energy on a daily basis. In addition, honoring this time to take care of yourself will help you feel more relaxed and allow you to release any energy that you may be holding on to.

  1. Be Consistent!

Being consistent is really the key! There are so many times that I say “I don’t have time”. If you are building a business or growing a family, time can be extremely limited. However, even if you don’t have the time you desire, you can still make room for yourself. Even if you take just 1 hour a day and do that twice a week, you are going to reap some benefits from it!

But, it’s about being consistent. You can’t go twice a week and then skip three weeks and expect your body to respond positively.

Honor your body; it’s your working tool. It’s YOUR vessel!

  1. Back away from the Chocolate!

I can tell you firsthand that since I’ve been doing this work professionally, my craving for chocolate has increased! Sometimes I just crave that sugar in the worse way!

Take a moment to look beyond the sugar, what is it about chocolate that your body needs? Find the source of the problem instead of feeding the symptom!

Craving chocolate could be an indicator that your body is deficient in magnesium. Although this is not always the case, it may be worth looking at the side effects to see if this may be the case for you! If so, then find a more beneficial source of magnesium like nuts, seeds or leafy green vegetables.

Have you checked your blood? Chocolate raises your blood sugar level. Readings can be emotionally and psychologically draining. This is natural as it can relate to the energy of your client, spirit and your own body.

When you are in a session, you raise your vibration to connect. It only makes senses that after your session your vibration lowers. Perhaps, there is a direct link from your vibration to your energy levels. Your body is a natural responder so it would make perfect sense that your blood sugar levels may also fluctuate before and after your session.

Chocolate also contains caffeine, so your body could be tired and you crave the caffeine to help raise your energy. Additionally, chocolate is addictive and it increases serotonin in your brain. Serotonin affects your feelings, emotions and mood. So if you are dealing with client energy that is lower (as sometimes you meet with clients who are feeling sad, depressed or in mourning) this can have an impact on your own feelings and emotions, especially if you are empathic. Ultimately, you would want to really work on your protection block to help you manage it, but sometimes, client sessions can really take a toll on us.

If you are craving chocolate, you have to take a moment and ask yourself what are you feeling at that moment as to why you are craving chocolate. This will help you understand your body and impulses better to make choices that stabilize your body in a healthier way!

So instead of chocolate, keep a stash of healthy bars and feed your body the proper nutrients it craves!

  1. Limit your Alcohol!

It’s no secret that alcohol contains “empty” calories. It’s even further true that alcohol can actually make you hungrier, thus increasing your appetite causing you to eat more! Either way, you are consuming additional calories that don’t fuel your body and can actually detour your body from absorbing the proper nutrients in food if you are drinking that wine with a meal.

Alcohol lowers your vibration. So when you have spent the day raising your vibration to connect with clients and their loved ones, you may naturally have a desire to lower your vibration. Wine is grounding so that glass of vino might just seem like the perfect solution at the time, but finding other ways to bring you back into this realm might just save your waistline!

Like anything, the key is moderation. I’m not saying that you can’t indulge but understanding the reasons behind the craving can help you find alternate solutions that result in a healthier and more fit YOU!

  1. Sleep More!

As a psychic or medium, you may have difficulty either falling asleep or staying asleep. Since being sensitive to energies, sounds and spirits, you may find yourself awake at the slightest shift in energy.

Giving yourself more time in the sack can actually help you lose weight!

In a study done by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, they found that someone who was more rested actually had a 5% higher rate of burning calories than those who were tired. Additionally, they also found that those who grabbed some extra Z’s at night burned 20% more calories after a meal over those who burned the midnight oil!

If you do find that you’re not getting enough sleep, than start a little sleep ritual for yourself. Start by preparing for bed earlier. Give yourself extra time to get some extra sleep!

Put the cell phone down, walk away from the computer and allow yourself some time to reconnect with you. Indulge in a warm bath. Studies show that raising your body temperature before bedtime helps to induce sleep. You could even spice it up with Epsom or lavender salts. Try adding magnesium oil mixed with a cup of baking soda in the tub. The Epsom salts combined with the baking soda allow the alkaline-balancing effects to be absorbed through your skin. Chronic fatigue may be symptom of magnesium deficiency. So all around, you could find this bath routine to create a balance that makes you sleep like a baby!

Hopefully, this article has given you some insight and shed light upon ways in which you can become the healthy psychic to allow yourself all the tools you need to not only be a healthy psychic but to be the best psychic medium and healer that you can be! Being a vessel for source means making your health a priority.

As much as you desire to be the healer for others, remember to take care of yourself first!
